The EVS project Reach the Rainbow (Do duhy), which was selected as an example of good practice at European level of ´Intercultural dialogue´, was launched in July 2007 by the Czech ngo Duha. The aims of this projcet were to connect the different member organizations of Duha through EVS, and also to bring an international and intercultural dimension to them. The project lasted 4 months, during which 10 volunteers coming from different countries of Europe were co-hosted by one of Duha´s local groups in the first two months, thus acquiring an understanding of the value of international youth work on the local level, and by Duha central office in Prague in the second half of the project. The first phase involved the volunteers in the daily work of the local groups, whose activities differrf depending on their field of work and environment they lived and worked in. The local groups were located in all the Czech republic, specially concentrated around the big towns such as Prague, Ostrava, etc. The shared commonalities were pursuits of the youth and children involvement towards active participation in the society and meaningful spending of the free time. Therefore they organized summer camps and outdoor activities. In the second phase, all the volunteers worked together in Praha, in Duha´s central office, where their task was to organize Duha events.
