The reason I´d like to change my name

To be honest, this title is way to dramatic but on the other hand, I learned in my 19 years of life that clickbait does wonders, so here we go. Before we get to the explanation of the title, I´m telling you a little bit about my life in France.

I am here in the Normandy since September 2020 and I will stay here until the end of July. Until now everything went very well besides annoying covid restrictions and a lost packet. But other than that I really enjoy being here. Everyone I´ve met is extremely nice and I already made millions of memories that I got to share with amazing people.

One of them is a girl from Germany I´ve met right in the beginning of my volunteer service and we meet literally every weekend to discover France a little bit. At some point we were both in contact with a positive tested person, had to take the test and be isolated which is really not that fun. And now we come to the point, we´ve all been waiting for: reason no.1 why I´d like to change my name. So when I was in the hospital to do the test I had to fill in a paper and then present that paper and my ID  to a lady to type everything in her computer  and print out labels with my data to put on the paper and on the actual test. She just copied my Name from my ID (which took her at least 5 minutes) and that I see in the waiting area that she wrote my name wrong and forgot an e so she had to redo everything. And this happens to me ALL THE TIME, I ALWAYS have to say my name 5 times and spell it out at least 5 times but in the end they still write and say it wrong. When you enter my association in the Normandy you will see a wall with photos of all the people that work there including me and guess what, my name is completely wrong on there and since 5 months nobody bothers to change it. But like I said already it is really not that dramatic, most of the times it is just funny to see and hear new variations of my name.
