Repairing bikes the classic way
schreib jetzt mal auf englisch in der Hoffnung jemand meldet sich der mit mir im Winter reist...
Ok first things first: If you are nearby Paimio, Turku or Tampere could you write me a comment? We are three nice (at least i think so...) girls and would like to have contact to other volunteers in our area. Sounds quite desperate but seriously, that would be nice :)
Theeeeeeen... Our day was filled with gloomy weather, the first rain drops on our noses. Still freckled but I think my sun spots will fade soon as the sunny days leave us slowly. We repaired the bikes today! At least we tried. First put together in the 60s (approximatly) they survived I don´t know how many rides and people sitting on their broken tires. First success was Claras (Clara_in_Finland), second one was Amandas, and mine... was decorated with pink ribbon. But we surely will repair that tinny beauty as well when we find time and a new bicycle tyre. And yes, some unexpected help from an elderly finnish man was helpfull as well. He kind of moved in next to us but we aren´t that sure, he doesn´t speak a word english or german and our finnish is miserable. But his shirt was nice. Said old is gold. I wonder if he knows what that means, maybe we will be able to translate it for him one day. Anyways, I can now say with pride that we build a proper team of bike repairmans.
I`m still a little sick and maybe have infected someone... fingers crossed I haven´t. My cold has transformed my voice into something I don´t recognize and tomorrow morning we will sing in the choir. Well, today because midnight has passed half an hour ago. I sound like the lovechild of a crow and a rusty rain gutter but maybe that will add the edge to the otherwise nice harmony of finnish voices and us three.
So if you read through that thank you, write a comment if you´re living nearby, wenn ihr mich kennt Grüße an euch und bis dann vielleicht ruf ich euch mal an.
