On-arrival training in Malta
chocolate and Paceville :)
Finally after four months in Malta the date for the on-arrival training was set and we were all excited to meet the other volunteers. We stayed at the Sprachcaffe in Pembroke which was really nice for such a training. Our trainers had prepared a lot of interesting activities which made these four days revealing. Apart from self-reflective activities and sessions thinking about our expectations and hopes and experiences that we have already gained we got information about our rights as EVS volunteers and also about the Youthpass. Moreover we talked about Malta in general e.g. places to go and Maltese culture. It was really nice being in a big group of volunteers and getting to know the other projects and organisations. We also had a lot of fun going out to Paceville with one of our trainers and enjoying the maltese nightlife.
All in all I enjoyed this training a lot and appreciate the work of our trainers trying to support us during this experience. Unfortunately for us Gaia volunteers who have been in Malta for four months the date of the trainign was a bit too late and it is a bit sad meeting so many other volunteers and knowing that we have to leave Malta in one month.
