"Erasmus for entrepreneurs takes us out of the comfort zone to learn", Marisol

Marisol knew that this program existed during a conference at the Madeira employment center. She chose to do it for 3 months although it could be up to 6 months, because it seemed like enough time to observe all the necessary information. She contacted the company in March, in April they agreed on the dates to start in June.

To apply for this program you have to have an idea, register on the official webpage, Marisol's idea is related to local accommodation. For this reason, she came to Lug2, following the recommendation of Belén from the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago de Compostela, who told her about Vida Láctea, a local company that manages various activities such as: workcamps, coworking space for young entrepreneurs, and a youth hostel.

Marisol was clear that her destiny was Spain and she came to Lugo, although she confesses that the most difficult thing was leaving her family and friends, as well as unforeseen events that arose during her first days in Spain. She found it difficult to get used to the weather and some allergies arose, which made her consider leaving the program at some point. Still, she went ahead. After this great adventure, she is very happy to have lived something like this.

The main activities of Marisol during "Erasmus for entrepreneurs" have been the reservations, receiving the guests and explaining the operation of the hostel, as well as elaborating some food that has been done as a hobby, with a lot of love and affection. Something she can apply when she returns to Madeira, where she has a house, with a good location for rural tourism,
During the time she has spent in Lugo, she has valued the language, the history of the city, teamwork and friendship. In regards to day-to-day activities, she has learned the importance of welcoming guests in the hostel with lots of love, affection and sympathy, to give them the necessary comfort and make them feel at home.

Marisol is aware that a good manager is always a good leader and a good leader lashes out to help the team. Recommend this program to anyone because it is a learning opportunity, to know the culture of another country, the language, how to face certain situations, the camaraderie and the true sense of friendship. "All this makes us appreciate the little things in life, being outside our comfort zone."
