…they were doing more together than they were separately
My storytelling experience and volunteering idea
It was a storytelling assignment during my first seminar. To open a book on a random sentence and then write a text based on it in 3 minutes. I took a book about abstractionist women artists from the United States ("Ninth street women" Mary Gabriel). Funny, but it turned out to be a good fit for the idea of volunteering. Or maybe my personal idea. The sentence was this. "It felt like they were doing more together than they were separately. Never will the power of separation be stronger than the connecting power". It takes at least two people to see themselves from the outside, to communicate and to see their own reflection. It takes a long way to feel the other person, their soul. Sometimes it is a sacrifice, a compromise, a gift. When two people meet, two worlds meet. How many such worlds do we meet in our lives, some we pass by, some we sink so deeply into that we can lose ourselves. It's more important to preserve ourselves and be able to share. They share, and the deeper the connection, the greater the creative power. Potential is multiplied and new things are born.
Here I would like to write about ideas of volunteering, my personal experiences of volunteering and language learning, my observations, culture and anthropology. Let's go ;)
