Hello, my dear Estonian friends. It's been one year since my departure for Estonia. I've learned so much this year I cannot begin to describe it. So much has happened since then it's no wonder time has flown by. Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed the summer because autumn is here and winter is coming (no pun intended). The days are growing colder and fresher, which is a nice change as I love fresh temperatures. Among other things I certainly do not feel hot anymore because I've submitted my master thesis! It's such a great feeling to see the whole and think of the work you've put into it. I'm quite proud of my work and I hope my mentor will share my feelings. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for her feedback, but she had a lot of work because of older students who hadn't graduated yet and had to until the end of September. It was the final deadline for 12,000 people! Imagine that. Some faculties had 50 thesis defences per day. Try taking 50 exams or even just supervising 50. It's been a madhouse, but now everything has settled and the mentors can breathe again.
Having said that, I also started this school as a singing student. The teacher is great and I have learned a lot. I don't have pain when I sing anymoe and my tone has improved quite significantly. Of course, I'm still a beginner, but it feels like a quantum leap.from where I was a month ago. Besides that I've been actively looking for Let's Sound Together participants. So far some students are nervous because they have a lot of exams in the middle of November, but I'm positive some will be thrilled about the project.
I'm also preparing for the IATEFL Hungary conference. It's a conference for teachers of English, where I'll be presenting a topic on communication and group dynamics. I'm really excited about it and I really feel I can make an impact on the audience. And I get to see Hungary. Well, I was there one time, but it doesn't really count because I was still very close to the Slovenian border.
The songwriting is fantastic as well. I'm done with more than half of the songs and I'm positive I can record decent vocals as well due to my awesome teacher! I will start recording after New Year. I just hope my recording equipment works (it's been twitchy over the past few days).
I don't know how many people read this blog, but I decided this will be the last one. The reason is because I have to devote my energy to other projects. I thank everybody who have read my blogs. I hope you have found inspiration and learned a little something.
As always, have fun!
