Slow Motion Zone
A project made by EVS Volunteers.
People had been moving along by foot for thousands of years, before they started to tame horses. Long distances could be travel in a shorter amount of time. The cruising speed was round about 80 km per day. Due to the invention of train, life accelerated. Trains were able to drive more than 35 km per hour in 1870s. But acceleration of life didn’t stop. The first car was built by Karl Benz in 1886. 1900 the first car overcame the 100 km per hour border. Big companies started to producing cars in enormous numbers and sold them for an adequate price. It became a mass phenomenon and streets have been characterizing landscapes in order to drive from A to Z as fast as possible.
Internet set off another revolution of life. Communication changed rapidly and accessibility is required 24/7 by employers and friends all over the world. Many people just rush from appointment to appointment, from meeting to meeting and from job to job, merely to pay their bills monthly. They often forget what is really important in life. For example relationships, time with friends, luck, travelling around the world, being honest to one’s self, doing sports.
Here steps Slow Motion Zone in. On our On-Arrival-Training this project came up.
