Say goodbye to fake news
People write whatever they want and thus who are not aware about medialiteracy or fact news they become the victims of social media. That is why today the medialiteracy is one of the main topics of digital developing. It includes the practices, that allowpeople to access, critically evaluate and create media. It helps to become competent, critical, and literate in all media forms, so that they can control the interpretations, whichinfluence on youngsters, who are the main target groups of social media. So in thistopic I want to share some special tools, and skills, that can provide information about:
Every day when we wake up, the first thing, that we are doing is getting out the phone from under the pillow and starting to browse social media. We have no guarantee which kind of information we receive early morning and regardless of our will, quite often we become the victim of social media, by getting the information, which can be cause mood swings for the whole day. We don’t have the opportunity to choose the information, and we just read all of the information on our news feed. Early morning we can get different types of the same information which can include as or exclude: accurateness as fake facts, sensation, aggression, provocation, etc. And this influences mostly on young people's, because they are the main and wide frame of audience who uses using the social media. To be clear I will give you some example about volunteering. Imagine that on your news feed it is written: «ESC has made a new decision, They change their strategy and instead of one year of volunteering term they will provide just 7 month. So all thus who are ESC volunteer will do volunteering for 7 months instead of 1 year». Of course at first it can seem stupid, but most often such kind of information can spread quickly and engage a big audience who will start to share and transfer the fake information. And interesting enough, that share and comment can manipulate your brain. You will start to change your plans. Maybe some volunteers will rejoice ahead of time, some of them will start to change their plans. Of course this is a bit controversial. But the main idea, that I want to mention is how fake news can influence on our routine life, behavior. So what can we do to avoid and to be protected from fake news? Of course this is not an issue only for today or tomorrow. This is an issue of all times till we stop using social media, which became the inseparable part of our life. Nowadays as long as media is developing, fake news are also growing in social media by including the wide frames of society.

So in this topic I want to share some special tools, and skills, that can provide information about:
- how to avoid the controlling of facts news
- how to check the information
- how to understand what is the main component of media literacy, which can help
- you to distinguish the fake and accurate information.
During my investigation I found some sentences which made me think about the main role of media literacy. There was written: Media literacy is not a new subject to teach, but a new way to teach all subject. Before planning your further life by receiving the wrong information, just pay attention to these questions. Here I will share with you several steps, that I picked up from the book, called` «Literacy for 21-st century». There are 5 key questions, that help to distinguish fake and accurate information easily. All media messages are constructed Before checking the fact it is necessary to focus on the structure of information, about who constructed the message and why? What is the purpose of that message. Who created this message?
How media messages are constructed Then after discovering the constructor, it is necessary to analyze how he build his message. For example what kind of shape was used, or how did he use creative language. What techniques are used to attract my attention? In that way you can refrain from manipulation Different people experience for the same media message is different. This pointcan be the result of the analysis of the last two one. Because as a result of these last points we can figure out that, the message has a special target group, for special age, gender. But at the same time it turned out that the same message can have a different influences on differents part of society. By focusing on the facts, it is questionable how different people might understand this message in comparison to me. At the same time it is important to consider the educational features, cultural upbringing, gender, age, etc.
What lifestyles, values and points of view are represented in, or omitted from, this message?
Media is also a storyteller and stories require characters and settings and a plot that has a beginning, a middle and an end. So in this context they are providing the information, that can influence our lifestyle. Or can transfer as some values.
Why was this message sent?
So after all of these we should analyze why was this message sent. What many people do not know is that what’s really being sold through commercial media is not just the advertised products to the audience but also the audience to the advertisers! As a result of this question by asking yourself you get some special skills like Access,
Create, Analyze, Evaluate. And after getting these skills you can be sure that fake news can not invade your life and can not schedule your routine. Here you can find detail information, which will help you to know more about media literacy.
