MALMÖ
Friday was free in Denmark – so we made a trip to Sweden. (:
We arrived in Malmö on Thursday evening, but it was too late to do some sightseeing. So we only did the check in in our hostel and went to bed.
On the next day we visited all the important sights of Malmö and we also went to a museum. We were very surprised, that we didn’t have to pay anything (it was a museum with 5 different exhibitions)! This was really interesting!
But after Friday we felt like we had seen everything you have to have seen in Malmö, so we decided to drive to Lund on Saturday. Before, we thought the German train-system to be chaotic, but then we experienced the Swedish one…
In Lund was perfect T-shirt weather and we walked around in the city, visited the cathedral and finally decided to sit down and enjoy the sun.
“Art is international”, said a women in Lund (We decided to take part in the “målardagen”. Everybody got a canvas, colors and brushes – and painted a picture for an auction on carnival. Everywhere in the park sat people drawing in a good atmosphere.)
On Sunday we went back to Gråsten.
The Swedish (yes, generalization baby):
- Stop at crosswalks! (surprisingly, because in Denmark they normally don´t)
- Love healthy food – there are many, many salad/smoothie restaurants. And they also like Ginger-shots
- Have Astrid Lindgren on the 20 kroner note (we loved it because we are both big fans of her)
- Don´t drink alcohol in public (there is a penalty on it)
- Have very nice parks!!
- Have beautiful supermarkets!
