In March Getting used to Finland and Spotti Opening Party
I am working on a summary
In March I carried on exploring the activities in the Youth Department.
I started to work in the Game House regularly 2 times a week.
There I learned how to play "Warthunder" a tabletop wargame and played a few rounds of Counter Strike with some older kids.
Whoever knows "Warthunder" knows I cannot learn the whole game in a day. I learned some basics :)
Went to the manga club for the first time and realized that lots of youngsters are actually learning Japanese to read the original mangas.
Please note that I never had any experience with manga books etc.
I began as well to go regularly to Spotti and got to know the youngsters and played a lot of rounds pool with them.
As well as to the work in the youth department, I was introduced to "Radio Work" as well.
This is a cooperation of the youth department with the "Hraks" Organisation to support young Adults finding jobs, develop skills or support them with organizing their daily lives, including apartment search, money management or cooking. Everything you might struggle with as a young adult.
The Month ended with a huge official opening party of our youth center "Spotti", including a news article in the local news paper, music, and food.
We established this party because our Youth Center "Spotti" moved from to a bigger and more central place in the shopping mall, the new place is also better accepted by the youngsters and give them more room to relax.
