Expectations out of Sonderborg
Hygge_TeamSonderborg consist of 6 volunteers (3 girls from Germany, 2 boys from Azerbaijan and 1 boy from Austria), who will work at the "Deutsche Kindergarten Sonderborg". I belive that each volunteer has a big curiosity and manny different reasons joining this program. But these differences will keep us together during program and perhaps after its ending.
My name is Kamran and I am from Sheki, which is a part of the north of Azerbaijan, surrounded by mountains with extraodinary nature. I enjoy the gorgeous nature, that inspires me to travel the world. I think that rural place has positive influence for babies, while children are affected negatively by the city life. Parents are reluctant to let children play freely in the city, fearing for their health and safety. In generaI, Sonderborg is a affordable place for growing up.
I am an open minded person and I am ready to accept any changes - also I am not afraid of any difficulties. I graduated Azerbaijan Econmic University at the Finance faculty. Even though I am working asistance of an accountant in Sheki, I would like to work as volunteer for a while.
I think that it is big chance for learning the Danish language. But this isn’t the only reason I am in Denmark as volunteer. I am expecting many various different adventures, cultures, friendships and new exciting expierences for my future life. This program will help to me to broaden my personal horizon of experience and to support the work of our organisation “Deutsche Kindergärten Sonderburg” for one year. As the kindergarden is bilingual I will speak both English and German in my daily life. It will form fundamental language skills in the childrens' brains and make them use both languages easily. I believe that we will work as a team and help to each other in any kind of task for improving the logical thinking of kids.On the other hand it is very interesting mental thinking of people and parents treatment with babies.
There is one other volunteer from Azerbaijan, except from me who is a very generous and kind person and I am very happy to be able to travel and to work with him. Also I am waiting with excitement to meet other 4 volunteers and the DK Sonderburg staff.
I just hope to have a great time in Denmark. This isn’t end. To be continue…
Sincerely Kamran
