Here is the experience of MohBari, an Italian NGO created by two ex-volunteers.

”La Choza De Trasmulas”, is an ecological rural hostel built between 2013-2014 with natural and ecological materials and also with the help of ESC volunteers. Located in a village in the South of Spain, it offers the possibility to discover the rural life of Andalucía and find out about the social and ecological aspects around it and the work of Intercultural Life NGO.

The benefit of volunteering service

Working in a NGO which aims to help extremely vulnerable groups such as refugees can be challenging: Your possibilities are always limited, and sometimes legally restricted. Still, even if it feels as you were doing little difference, the impact of your work is essential. Here I tried to collect some advice and encouragement from my daily experiences!

This is my answer and my entry for Youth Essay Competition 2018, organised by the European Commission Directorate General for Single Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. A yearly competition open for young people (18-25 years old) from European Member States or COSME partners countries.

The following essay approaches the topic starting from a dilemma and also from the premise of status quo. Focusing on small, individual and (most important) highly possible changes as a basis for changing the world, I invite you on a journey through memories, experience, imagination, creativity and hopes, all seen through the lens of a 25 years old person.
