The open suitcase
About Good Byes, borrowed Sweaters, a Lou Reed-Album and closing a suitcase.
"...glad that I spent it with you."-'Perfect Day', Lou Reed
I started the day with taking off pictures from the wall. It's the 29th of March, my flight goes tonight, my luggage is packed and the only thing left to do is closing the suitcase. I leave it open. To pretend that nothing is over now, 'everything is still possible as long as the suitcase is open', I think. I have a whole day left.
Actually, one day is a long time. If it's 24 hours with 60 minutes per hour, it's 1440 minutes. 1440 minutes left in Georgia. And now? I cannot find anything that could be worth to do for a adequate Good Bye.
Pierre and Duba left last night. I bet noone likes Good Byes, but this one was the most beautiful one I ever had. Pierre gave me his Sweater (he is moving to Berlin this summer and this Sweater is like a contract to see eachother again), I was holding Dubas hand as we told eachother the last things we wanted to say and hugging Richard for minutes.
After taking off the pictures from my walls I made a big mistake in putting on the Transformer-Album by Lou Reed. We were listening to it during a whole weekend, Richard, Pierre and me.
I just decided that I really don't want to spent my last day with sitting in my room and singing the blues, so now I will put on another album, maybe a german one, pack Pierres Sweater into my open suitcase, take a last shower and walk through the city which was my home, no, which is my home! I will go to the Scoutcentre to say 'Nakhvamdis!' and also to GYE and to the Park and to my bazarilady and tonight I will do something with Nino and Lile and then..then I will take the flight back home-home, to my old-new life!
One thing I love about sad Good Byes: it means that you found something, which is worth being sad about.
I will close the suitcase now. Thank you all for everything!
