The movie list
About how we like writing lists and documenting everything
*people talking about their favourite films or random films they just watched*..."That sounds interesting, we have to put that onto our movie list!" This is how our list of films we want to watch next is getting longer and longer almost every second day. It's not like it's getting at least a little bit shorter whenever we finish the next film, because we just have three more to add immediately. Still we're making some progress and I have to admit that most of the films I put on there are mostly trilogies or more, so we can't cross it out that fast. The last time I could convince the girls to watch all three parts of High School Musical with me and some more Disney movies will be next. The list is hanging in their kitchen and we already had to use the back side of the paper we took out of Erikas notebook just to fit more films on it, so we'll have some nice movie nights ahead until...well...I guess until next spring ^^
Speaking of papers hanging in the girls' kitchen: the jogurt-calendar they made for me might not be on their fridge anymore, but I still keep it in my room to put a cross for every jogurt I've eaten on it, so I can count at the end of the week.
But somehow with time it really seems like we have a different atmosphere here. I completely lost my sense for time and always need to take my watch, otherwise I would never be on time, always too early or too late which is a catastrophe for me, but maybe it's just a lack of sleep and not my cold...at least that's Mikio's theory and you should always listen to Mikio as he's an expert on everything, even in speaking German!
What I did in the evenings since Friday was the only way for me to relax when I couldn't fall asleep even though I was soooo tired. I just sat in my armchair, in my room listening to a different type of music every evening to find out what was the best one to hear after a working day on a training project with only Georgian youngsters which means only Georgian speaking people around me for 6 days, almost 24/7. Of course it was really good for practicing to understand, but still it was really hard and exhausting for me to follow the conversations in detail. Nevertheless the project was really fun and it led me to the idea of making a music list too. Having a movie list is maybe nothing special, neither is having a music list, but the mixture of what to listen to on which evening to feel which way is a new challenge for me that I fully enjoy planning with this list.
...and of course I always have a to-do-list with all the stuff that needs to be done soon, so again...a list. I guess it's easier for me to remember things when I've written them down not to forget anything, but for now I can cross out going to the Scout Centre for a few days which means sleeping till noon and not standing up early. There always is a lot to plan, so why not make a new list for everything, you just need to have a plan where to find it again.
The same works for my flights back to Germany in February to visit my family which I just booked, I already have a list of what to take home with me for this time and it's just very satisfying to know most of the stuff you're taking before even going because it really calms me down...okay...right now I could probably just go outside to calm and cool down because it's getting really cold during the nights now, but that's not the point right now.
You'll hear from me soon again and maybe I'll be a little less tired, so that you and myself too will understand better what I actually want to say, because I honestly have no idea right now if the text I just wrote here makes any sense or not. ;)
