Shades of solidarity
What does solidarity means to me? How can I personally be solidary?
When I think about solidarity, there are several thoughts which come to my mind.
If I call myself a solidary person, several traits of my personality are involved.
Solidarity cannot be explained in one sentence, it is a complexity of feelings and actions.
Solidarity means to bring back kindness to places where it is extinct.
Solidarity is an attitude, a mindset, a lifestyle. If I call myself a solidary person, then I have to have solidarity incorporated in my everyday life.
Solidarity for me it is a mixture of compassion, inclusion, kindness put in action. Solidarity has to be put in action. It doesn't have to be a big action, sometimes a small action can be an act of solidarity: sometimes listening carefully to someone can be an act of solidarity.
Solidarity sometimes doesn't needs (the world's) attention.
Solidarity sometimes means that you have to challenge stereotypes – to not to believe them, to stand up against them.
Solidarity is teaching our hearts, our souls how to love, how to be compassionate. To how to love those who are hard to love. To how be compassionate with whom is hard to be compassionate with.
Solidarity sometimes means to treat people as humans and let them live.
Solidarity sometimes means to provide people basic human rights, to stand up against injustice, to protest.
Solidarity sometimes has to be learned - you have to be open minded regarding to everything which differs from you.
