No one to Hug? Hug a Tree!
Quarantine times, Nature Heals Us
Finally it is my time muhahahaha; I always said and encouraged people to try hug trees in order to feel better, or just for fun. I never looked up the science behind this, but just listened to my gut. But I became very curious about the actual effect, so I hope if not me, science can convince you about the goodness of this idea. Hmm and really now, when many people might be stuck at home alone, or just simply must keep 1.5 meters distance to other humans, a tree is the best choice to hug!
Feeling healthy and well, it all comes down to hormones...
Here are the D.O.S.E we need:
Dopamin - work out, sleep enough, celebrate success
Oxytocin - Meditate, Hug someone, Random act of kindness
Endorphin - Laugh, Sing, Dance, Give time to your hobby
Serotonin - Gratitude, Enjoy nature, Remember on good things

Hugging a tree increases levels of Oxytocin, and this hormone is responsible for feeling calm and emotional bonding. When hugging a tree, other hormones as serotonin and dopamine are also released, thus making you feel happier.
This is just the surface, cause we could talk about how a tree's energetic aura looks and effects, but let’s not scare you away with spiritual overdose.
BUT just a little fun addition I’d like to share, in order to celebrate more layers of nature -as we know it, yes, trees are communicating with each other, and yes, plants too can have a kind of personality! This amazing Italian invention makes us say that, it comes from a self-sustained living in harmony with nature, community in ITALY, called DAMANHUR, and they made this (with over 20 years of work and research):

AMAZING!!!!! I was lucky to be in a workshop and could listen to a kettle and several young trees. It all made sense (I mean there look and their song)! :P
P.s. As I was looking for affirmation on the web about hugging a tree, I also found this as “Frequently asked Questions”
“How do you hug a tree properly? Full Body Tree Hug: Sit upon the ground wrapping your legs around the base of the tree and at the same time embracing it with your arms. Up in the Air Tree Hug: Climb a tree. Sit upon a strong limb and straddle it with your legs. Bend forward and place your belly against it while wrapping your arms around it.”
again.. AMAZING! :D
