I am vaccinated against COVID-19: How it felt.
I promise it is my last report about COVID-19 related topics :)
I already wrote about how to get coronavirus vaccination in Germany in my previous report here. So, in this report, I will only write down how was the general process at the vaccination centre and how I felt after I received the shot.
My first shot appointment was on 18.06.2021. We went to the vaccination centre at the Schöneberg airport by car and there were so many soldiers. My mentor told me that they were army doctors and students. Wow, so many handsome men with uniforms, haha! I received Moderna vaccination, and they cancelled the second appointment because if you already recovered from the COVID-19, you only need one shot of vaccination in Germany. I gave them my positive COVID-19 test result from the last year. The positive test result must be at least 6 months old because you have a high immunity against corona within 6 months.
The process went so smooth. There were 3-5 stations and staff who were guiding us at each stop. The whole procedure took only 25 minutes. We did some registration and paperwork in the first 10 minutes and I had to wait in the public hall for 15 minutes after I received the shot because there might be some adverse reaction. The needle was so thin and the doctor was so professional that I did not feel anything. No adverse reaction within 15 minutes. So, we headed home.
The first day after the shot I was totally normal. But I was so tired on the second day of doing nothing. Therefore, I slept during the day (Usually I cannot sleep during the day). I had diarrhoea on the second and third day and found out that it is a common side effect of corona vaccination. The worst was the pain at the injection site lasted three days. It was annoying for me because I sleep on my left side and I received it on my left arm.
I decided to get vaccinated because I believe in science and I already recovered from it and I do not want to get it again! I try to get vaccinated for the seasonal flu every autumn as well because I get sick all the time in the cold seasons. Especially, Mongolian winter is so cold. Therefore, influenza and tuberculosis are common there. It would be nice if I see a pulmonologist to get a chest X-ray in the near future for the checking up if I fully recovered from the corona.
Finally, I finished writing about my journey with coronavirus in series of reports. I hope so. I will start writing brighter topics in the future. Do not change your channel, handsome boys and beautiful girls! See you next time!
