Home sweet home
"Home is where the heart is".
Yes, but...
Home is where the heart is.
And what happens when you let many little pieces of your heart in all the places you visited and to some of the people you met?
Let’s say that it is quite common this small problem, for those who wander the world, the life and the way they are.
Recently, I was wondering about this issue. I spent last year travelling a lot and I often missed home and then when I went back home I missed travelling, adventure and the absence of balance that travelling gives to your life.
Travelling is amazing, but there is also a small, really small, other face of the coin: the never-ending change.
Every travel has new places to explore, new people to meet, a new language to deal with. Finally, you are always the same, but also a bit different.
Well, I was trying to solve this riddle, when I realised why I came back home.
I needed a bit of balance.
When you travel, it happens, sometimes, that you can feel alone. Far away from problems and with no intention to find solutions. Just run away.
Going back home with this scenario is not easy at all, but is educational.
What I needed was to find my own way to travel, my own way to discover without escaping something.
Going to. Not going away from.
While travelling I missed buildings, relations, projects, a kind of routine (no, I have it, my coffee always with me. There’s no better routine than that).
Now I’m still looking to fix all my needs, but I say that I’m on the right way. And I’ll start to travel a lot very soon. Very soon.
But in a different way. Travelling to something.
So, be ready! :)
What’s your way of travelling?
