What do I need most during my EVS? (Part 2)
There are many things which are important to have a good time during my EVS. After 2 months it feels like there is one that is the most needed: COURAGE :D
So after the morning in Aachen I head it back to the Hostel to pick up my stuff and then went to the train station. First I needed a ticket. Now I used the machine and I put my bankcard in it. For a long time I was afraid of the machine swallowing my card, but I never have cash so the need won.
Then I catch a train in the direction my host send me and with butterflies in my belly. This was the first time that I did Couchsurfing, to be exactly correct I did "EVS couchsurfing".
So how was my first experience with couchsurfing?
Amazing and more than I could ever imagine!
Thilo was an amazing host and I'm more than grateful to him and his family for all the help. He picked me up from the train station and shared his home with me. On Saturday afternoon he showed me Cologne with his friends which was amazing, I think I fell in love with the city and the Bier. :) On Sunday we went to Bonn and visited the House of History. For me it was pretty interesting, because I learned a lot of history in high school. Germany is full of history. I also loved Bonn, it was so quiet and peaceful in the afternoon. On Sunday night when we arrived from our day trip Thilo's mom was waiting for us with dinner. If this wasn't hospitable enouogh he took me to my seminar with car the next day. It saved me from a 20-25 minute long up hill walk in the rain. :)
So now I can't wait to do couchsurfing again :D
Doing this adventure was one of the best decision of my life and I'm so happy that I had the courage to have an experience that I always wanted. :)
