Less than 24h left…
- The day before my departure to Norway -
The bags are packed, last minute errands are done – in less than 24h I am on my way. Goodbye Germany, hello Norway! One year I will pass up north in Nordfjordeid, a little place with almost 3000 residents. May sound funny for city dwellers, but given the fact that Norway has only a population of around 5.000.000 million (corresponds to the size of the German cities Berlin and Hamburg) it is not as small as it seems – for Norwegian standards.
In any case it is amazing how time flies. It feels like yesterday when I received the confirmation for my EVS (European Voluntary Service) in Norway months ago and now I am starting my journey soon. Right now I am torn between wrench and anticipation, but I am sure it will be a great experience and that I will return with a lot of incredible stories to tell. But no worries, you do not have to wait this long. From time to time I will write down some stories in here.
But know I should go to bed and have some sleep before my friends pick me up tomorrow morning to drive me to the train station. Thanks you two! And thanks to all of you for your support, wishes and leaving presents. We will stay in touch and I wish you all the best for the coming year!
See you,
Alisa
