People have dreams! I and my friend Yerv were dreaming to study and gain experience in Europe. Last year I started doing my ESC volunteering in Germany and Yerv started his Master’s studies in Sweden.

After almost 12 months as a volunteer in Sweden it`s time to say goodbye to this place that I will always call my home. Let`s look back, reflect and give a little resume.

Since June is the month with the most sun hours per day and therefor the famous midsummer celebration here in Sweden, today`s post is all about my experiences during this event.

Due to a holiday here in Sweden, we recently had a long weekend off and I decided to go on a four days solo trip to Mariehamn. It was my first journey of this kind, but after overcoming my worries of traveling alone, it was one of the best experiences I ever had!

Today I want to share with you my experiences and observations about spring time in Sweden and Scandinavia in general.

I used the Easter weekend to travel to Germany to surprise my family while they were on vacation. What a great time we all had together!

After months of exploring, working and enjoying my year here in Sweden to its best, for the first time I need to rest because of a knee injury. And since I got a lot of extra time right now I want to share some random thoughts with you all.

And another month is over! That means lots of experiences but also a little milestone and a not so lucky accident…

Coming to live in Sweden for one year most of us volunteers had the dream to experience northern Sweden at least once during winter time, so we decided to go on a weekend trip to Abisko – the most northern town in Sweden!

January went by so fast - crazy that the first month of 2022 is already over! I think that’s reason enough to give you a little update about my last weeks.
