WARSZAWA
meeting new people all the time
Last week I went to the On-arrival training in Warsaw. It was really fun, I met wonderful volunteers from all over Poland, received new knowledge of teaching skills, got to know Poland even more, and the best: We went out every evening and I could enjoy Warsaw. At the same time it was very stressful having not enough or no sleep. Anyway, I would go there again.
This week I had my first school visits. On Monday I went to a high school. They were about 16 years old and super lazy and slowly. That’s why I didn’t really enjoy it but on Wednesday I went to a mixed school and we had a lot of fun. We danced and sang and it was a pleasure to be there.
Then on Friday I drove to Warsaw again to volunteer at an event called ``Erasmus+ Run``. We lived in a hotel fucking far away from the national stadion where we had to be at 7am the next day. Therefore we had to wake up at 5:30. Arriving at the stadion we started to record the TV forecast. We had to do warm-up exercises and pretend to prepare for the run. Ordinary we were there only for work but I decided to participate at the run. I attached to a team composed of other volunteers. Unfortunately, we had to quit because one of our team members had pain. However it was an impressive sports event!
Today we went to the POLIN Museum. It deals with the history of jews in Poland. I couldn't finish the museum because I had to catch my Flixbus. I had to say goodbye to my flatmate because she broke up with our project and went back to Denmark today. We also had to say goodbye to the turkish girls working at INPRO because they finished their time period in the project. I feel sad about it because we grew together like a little INPRO-family but I'm excited about the next volunteers that will join our project.
Tomorrow I have to work, please take pity on me.
