The little Princess' story

Once upon a time there was a little princess who thought her life went pretty well. She experienced good education, nice parents and met a gorgeous prince which stood by her side.
But the Princess' mind was wild and she had this dream about a country with high mountains, deep valleys, cold lakes and fast running streams. She saw herself standing on top of the highest mountain in the middle of nowhere, the wind blowing through her golden hair - that was her dream of freedom.
And so she went on a long and hard journey. It was not easy to say good bye to her home, her parents, her friends, and her beautiful prince. But the urge to live her dream was stronger than any feeling that could have stopped her.
After hours and hours she arrived in the well known town of STIRLING, where it was dark and cold and the little Princess felt lonely. But as soon as she came of the coach, Dee and Daniel offered her a home. That was how the little Princess came to Braendam on the edge of the Highlands in bonnie Scotland, where her adventures began...
She would live and work together with many other adventurers under the leadership of Brian Guidery, who sent her out to learn things straight from the beginning, only about eight hours after she arrived. She managed to overcome this first difficult obstacle and again was send away for more training.
But this time it was too much for the little Princess and she thought that this was the end, even before she started. But Brian was a nice Boss and let her off that time. Even though he was angry because it was the little Princess’ fault that Anja missed her training as well and only two out off four arrived in Manchester – Melis and Katerina.
As soon as the little Princess recovered she started to explore bonnie Scotland. She saw nice Towns such as Oban, Stirling Castle and the Bottom of Wallace Monument and she even managed to climb her first mountain – only five days after her arrival… And than she knew: she did the right thing!
It was Dafydd who took her and the other adventures to the foot of Ben A’an to conquer the peak. And only one week later the little Princess found herself together with Benjamin and Katharena on the peak of the highest mountain in the immediate vicinity - Ben Ledi.
During this time the little princess’ heart was filled with love and life – she felt like hugging the whole world. She loved her work and the people and the bonnie country she lived in, she was at home.
Of course, not everything was perfect – as it never is, as we all know… There was for example this little accident the little princess had one day. She was out all day to explore the country and as she came back round the corner down the hill, she crashed into Alan’s Car and left a very tiny wee mark - which is still visible today. But the worse thing about this was that Hazel was working and the little princess actually never met Alan before – so she felt horrible when knocking on his door to tell him what had happened… But he reacted quite relaxed and it seemed alright. But probably he will never really forgive her, even though the little princess still hopes he will.
Another weird thing was that for some strange reason Cindy – her roommate – would not talk to her more than necessary. Which can be quite awkward if you work together and share a room… Later the little Princess would find out that it was because of here origin, the country she came from. That confused her. “There must be something wrong about being German”, she thought. “Anja” – who by the way was German herself – “insists in speaking English to me and does not want anyone to notice that she is actually German. And Cindy does not like me for being German…” she sighed. And during her stay in Scotland this problem was not solved, it even got worse, as the next German – Till – would even tell he was “unfortunately German” but with an English heart…
Because of this the little Princess started to be ashamed of her nationality at first. But soon she would figure out that that was not the right idea. She started talking and thinking about Germany more positively as she felt she had to defend herself. And with the arrival of Freddy and Iris she finally found Germans who do not mind at all being German. In the End the little Princess could laugh again.
Taking all the time the little Princess spend in this bonnie Country the hardest period was probably between February and March. We don’t want to talk about this too much now as it would probably just upset the little Princess. But there were times when she was very close to get her bag ready for leaving… The main reason for this could actually get a name – which might not mean a lot to many of yours: Tony it was, even though he was a nice guy, as long as the little Princess did not need to work with him.
Unfortunately at exactly the same time as the arguments with Tony became stronger and stronger the little Princess’ gorgeous Prince decided to leave her. So she felt even more lost and lonely than she was anyway…
But after quite a long down the little Princess would raise her head to look ahead. And with the help of good friends like Lucia, Melis and Gill - and of course Sarah and her Reo! – she managed to get the life and the love back into her heart and to enjoy the last months in bonnie Scotland.
There are so many other people to mention, so many stories to tell, the little Princess could fill a whole novel with it and maybe she will one day.
But for now its time to go home and to start a new chapter in life. But all you people, the little Princess met in Scotland, can be sure she will never forget you. And she is still convinced that it was the right thing to come to and stay in this beautiful country!
Maybe one day you will see her again on the top of a mountain in bonnie Scotland – Ben Nevis is still to conquer – or you will meet her next year at the Calladonian Challenge, who knows…
