Wysolach swiat!

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend my christmas at polish families, to be exact at three families. I didn't go there alone but with Artur, one of my very good friends here.
Christmas in Poland is kinda different from the one I'm used to. For example they have 12 dishes without meat and they told me that gifting each other is not a polish thing but anyway some families gift each other.
I also received a really beautiful christmas ball.
Moreover, they go to church at midnight and they have beautiful decoration in the churches! There is also another tradition that almost made me cry: Everyone has an oblade and you tell everyone personal what you wish to him or her. After that you take a part of his or her oblade and eat it. I didn't thing that it would be so touching but it literally is!
In general my christmas was amazing and I still keep in touch with the families (Karolina's mother always tells me how much she loves me and the little 6-year old Arek fell inlove with me, so I got an invitation to his birthday party, lol).
We had a christmas party with INPRO as well. People working for INPRO or that worked for INPRO were invited. Everyone brought some food or drink. Of course I had to drink Romanian self-made Wooodddkkaaa with my boss.

A few days later... NEW YEARS EVE!

Elisa, Bernat, Ale, I AND RUFUSZ, which is our New Year's crocodile decided to go to Krakow. We were in a hostel sharing a room in 10, which sounds a lot but is totally okay. I even made friends for us. How? By accident I locked the jacket of a Portuguese guy in my locker, so he asked around whose it is and somehow we understood each other well and finally we spent our New Year's Eve with the Portuguese couple:

We predrank in the hostel and for midnight we went to the main square. Even New Year's Eve in Poland is different. They have a big firework at the main square and that's it. Noone goes in front of his house and makes a firework, of course except from Bernat and me because we bought the stuff. So, we went to the big firework at the main square and then we made our own small one somewhere hiding from the police.

If we already mention police...
I got fined for crossing the street without a zebra line. I knew that rule but after some months and if you see the street is 2 meters big, you won't care a lot about it anymore. What a pity that today the police is hiding again! And as a foreigner you don't get the same treatment as the polish citizen. You don't get the letter home that you have to pay till then and then, no. You have to pay immediately, but I didn't have 50 zl. I only had 100 zl and they said they have no change. So it was a looong way to finally pay because my card was also not working. However, in the end they suddenly had change (…) and I could pay.

„Do you want to play in the snow today?”

It's snowing and snowing for days and we have around -10 degrees. This is the opportunity to play in the snow! Yesterday evening Bernat, I and Rufusz jumped into the snow in our underwear with -12 degrees! It was amaaaziiing! We will use these videos for our movie trailer „The Bonobos”. It will be published on Youtube soon, so wait for it!

At the moment we are also shooting little movies about e-learning, which is not that much fun...

But happily Bernat and I are building a slide today and we'll cook Gulyas.
