Our first three months

Hello everybody! Labas!

Three months we are now here and it happened a lot.

Working in the school is really interesting and it is a lot of fun. We have already chosen our class where we will stay until we finish with the EVS. Now we start to organize our own lessons in our class and also our own afternoon activities.

We made presentations about our own countries (Germany, Catalonia, Georgia and Austria) for the pupils, so they see how we live. One thing which I liked the most was the sports competition. Schools from all over Lithuania came to Panevėžys to compete against each other. We helped and encouraged the pupils. It was a lot of fun!

We also had our first trip with some children of the school to Anykščiai, a city next to Panevėžys . We were walking on a road on the trees and we saw how they used to make bread a long time ago. It was really interesting!

Here in Panevėžys we never get bored because we are more than 20 volunteers. We are also having a really good contact to local people and the erasmus+ students. We meet each other almost every day to drink coffee, cook together, go ice skating ore have a party.
We also started our own project which is called "Choir of Savanoriai". It means "Choir of Volunteers". We practiced a lot, because we were singing at the Christmas parties of our organisations. One song (Let it go - Frozen) we were singing in our own languages (German, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian).

Three of us stayed in Panevėžys during Christmas. It was a great experience to celebrate it with so many different nationalities. We were 13 people from 6 different countries. Three of them were from Turkey so they celebrated Christmas for the first time. On New Year some of us went to another city. It is really easy and cheap to drive with the bus to Vilnius, Riga, Warsaw, Tallinn, etc.
