How to look for a job on social networks?
World of technologies and digital improvement makes it easier to stay connected - you are able to stay up to date with everyone around you. Which aspects. you should take into consideration while looking for a job - in the reportage below.
The point I would like to stress is job on social networks. And today we would talk about the main mistakes when searching for vacancies on Facebook, Instagram and Telegram.
Avoid scammers
The first thing to pay attention to is the salary. Before accepting the offer, compare the salary for this vacancy on other resources. If the difference between salaries is large - it calls into question the reliability of the employer.
To avoid scammers, the following questions should be answered: how well known is the company or person who posted the ads, what is their reputation. For authenticity, read the comments under the posts, look for additional information on the Internet or in other social networks.
If the proposed working conditions look too attractive and there is a feeling that the work does not require effort, but is well paid - it is better to look for another vacancy. There are many stories on social networks when people were led to such offers and were left with nothing.
Phone call fraud
A friend of mine told me such a story: "It was a telegram channel dedicated to freelance vacancies, offered a job in a call center. I don't remember the amount clearly, but the numbers were nicely different from the other offers. The ad warned that you should call, not write in private. I immediately called, I was told that I needed to call another contact. Without thinking, I immediately entered a new number - and paid 150 hryvnias (Ukrainian currency) for it. My call was answered very quickly, but they just kept silent on the phone, a minute later the call dropped, probably because the money ran out. After checking the account and realizing that it was a scam, I came up with a brilliant idea to break this number in the Getcontact application (here you can find out how other users signed the contact), there were names from a simple "thief" to "300 hryvnia for 5 minutes conversations ". To sum up, she didn't find a job, but she learned to be careful and always check my phone number.
Substitution of vacancies
One more story that I would like to share with you: "They wrote to me on Instagram: work in the office, copywriter, you need to edit texts technically translated from a foreign language. It seemed to me that if you work in the office, then in principle, the trick cannot wait. Formal employment, well, what can be the pitfalls? I decided to try, plus there was a paid internship - two or three days. I went to an interview, they took me as if they took me, then even took pictures with my passport and added me to some database, and finally told me to come to another, working office the next day. When I arrived at my potential place of work, a female employee came up to me and took me to an apartment in a residential building. There she tells me: “I will tell you honestly, I will not tell another legend, as usual, there is no such position at all, then everything was not true. The task of this work is to communicate with foreigners in chat rooms with the camera on. Someone asks to be supported, someone else something, you do what you want. Of course, I asked, "What about intimacy?" To which I was told that if you don't want to, you don't, if you want, it's your business. Of course, I gave up that job and didn't show up at that "office" again."
Take the initiative
At least half of your job postings will be spammed or lost among other inboxes. Be systematic, try again, look for new options and do not be afraid to remind yourself. It often happens that you are not ignored, but simply not seen. Try to write several times, only during working hours. The main thing - do not get bored.
Work on your profile on social networks
The content and appearance of your page when looking for work - are important. If your profile is a dump of reposts, spam and photos from parties, then do not be surprised that the employer will not even read the message. Experience and qualifications are not the main selection criteria on social networks, because they learn about them after turning your page. The requirement to have a beautiful profile is especially relevant for those who are looking for a job related to filling social networks. For example, if you are looking for a job in the field of SMM, you need to have a large circle of friends and be an active user. Think about the quality and content of the photo, be sure to avatar yourself, not Angelina Jolie, Bradley Cooper or a puppy. Create up-to-date stories with your own work and projects on your page, not just send posts to other users.
Write, edit
Although social media is not as formal as business correspondence or interviews, you should still follow a formal tone when it comes to your career. Remember grammar, correct sentence wording and don't use too many smileys. In the first sentence of the message, you should introduce yourself and briefly describe your work experience. It is better to fit in a few sentences because the employer has other messages from the same users.
In a conclusion, choose "you", not "you", do not write abusive words. Reply in a timely manner, even if the other person ignored your message for several hours. Show that you are interested in getting a job and have skills that will help in it. Credits https://www.theworkathomewoman.com/how-do-i-find-mom-friendly-jobs-in-social-media-marketing/
