#3 Winter arrived
Being abroad isn’t always easy. It takes a lot of effort to adapt oneself, to learn a new language, to feel comfortable in another culture and to find new people to hand around with. I do not want to sound whiny, but I believe it is important to share difficult moments as well as the positive ones…
I feel a little bit tired and I miss my old friends. I miss the feeling of being comfortable around a person, of talking without filter and not trying to please someone. As I see it, it is not really easy living here in Germany, and for me personally it is not so easy to find new friends: Of course one can go partying, chat with a lot of people and has some fun, but it seems nearly a bit meaningless ( and yes, I feel so old saying this). I still know and appreciate this as a chance, but I also grew tired of moving, traveling and seeing more places - This feels a bit like a escape, like the attempt not to deal with my now problems and just distracting myself.
