When I initially started EVS, I expected to meet amazing people, experience a new culture and to learn a new language and skills. What I didn't expect was that I would completely change my outlook on life and that I would kindle a new passion for being actively involved in change. Kiled time or filled time- I became a much more confident and tolerant person as a result of my time in Germany and am thrilled to have had the privilege to take part in this program. Given the oportunity- the only thing that I would change is that I would try to pack even more into an action filled year!
Ein Versuch, Lissabon und mein Leben dort, mit Wörtern einzufangen. Fragmente aus meiner Erinnerung, die sich um dreierlei spannen: Menschen, Sprache und Cafés. Kleine Momente und flüchtige Stimmungen, die sich am Schluss zu einem Gedanken verdichten, na verdadenao quero voltar, eigentlich will ich nie mehr heim.
My project is basicly one of the most beautiful things that a person can do for human life: make mentally disable people feel like kids enjoying their lifes. You just have to give them a little bit from your time to make them feel so happy, just play one game or bring them somewhere outside for a walk... I think it's one of the best sensations I've ever felt.
