Summer, Lavender and Procrastination
How are you enjoying the summer?
Hello, my dear Estonian friends. How are you enjoying the summer? Ours has really kicked in over the past week. It's become quite hot, sometimes spiking up to 30°C, but that's still manageable. The weather is very seductive and I'm finding it hard to resist it and stay inside to write my thesis. Nevertheless, I do go out to clear my mind. Two days ago I, Katja and our friend went to a lavender festival in Primorska (the left leg of the chicken :). There we saw huge fields of different kinds of lavender. It was rainy/cloudy/sunny, but the lavenders were still waving beautifully in the wind. You can even make a bouquet and it has to be big, otherwise they don't take it to wrap it. Our friend was actually denied the bouquet at first. "You should cut more lavenders, this is too small." And it cost only 3€! But don't worry, they make up for the money at the souvenirs and food stores. :)
Unfortunately, I've lost a bit of motivation for writing my master thesis. I've hit a few points at which I can't seem to push through and that's when procrastination hits the spot. Procrastination means not doing something, but you should! But I'll do my best to bring my thesis up to speed. I won't graduate before October anyway as my mentor is on vacation in August, but I don't mind. 3 months is a nice time period to finish everything off.
I'm aware I'm writing a lot about the master thesis, but I'll soon have the opportunity to write about the Let's Sound Together, which has been accepted!!! I am proud of each and every one of you. You have made it possible to see each other again. Keeping in touch is cool, but nothing beats when you see each other in person!
I'm off to write my thesis. Wish me luck and inspiration. And seriously, write to me and tell me how you have been doing. It can be anything from anyone about anyone!!!
Now I can write officially: До встречи. (p. s. I hope I got that right :D)
