Poem to Leila
"And I was sure she was an angel, she was the one, I had no doubt. But when I touched her cheek I felt her tears..."
I saw her in the middle of the dancefloor,
she hit my eye like an exploding meteor
moving on her legs so soft and strong,
my sight glued on her all night long.
All- Night- Long-
And I was sure she was an angel,
She was the one, I had no doubt
But when she crumbled, the scales fell from my eyes
she was just a dancing body in the crowd...
Red lips, juicy, soft and sweet
Her eyes so bright and pale
the earth around her stood still.
I whispered any name,
but boy I know it was not hers
as perfect as her fingers touch her cheek...
And I was sure she was an angel,
she was the one, I had no doubt
But when she crumbled, the scales fell from my eyes-
she was just a dancing body in the crowd...
A dancing body in the crowd!
And she kept on, kept on,
her face melted in front of me,
my dream collapsed in sweat.
And when I took her hand it was so cold....
I was sure she was an angel
she was the one I had no doubt
But when I touched her cheek I felt her tears
she was just a dancing body in the crowd
I left her for my dream could not come true
I'm not perfect and neither are you
but to be honest, I'm still not quite sure
cause I saw her bursting into flames on the dancefloor.
