My Erasmus person
Since I heard about the Erasmus program I never gave up on the idea to do it. I can be pretty obsessive and Erasmus was one of my obsession. So the second semester of the second year of bachelor was the right time for me. As the good obsessive person I am, I was kind of fascinated by the Erasmus in my class in France. And last year there was a Slovak exchange student in my class.
By chance we followed the same lesson just by the time I was conflicted to choose my destination. So after the class I asked Katarina how was the scholar system in Slovakia. Also, I proposed my help and so on but I think she helped me much more than I did. We exchange our Facebook originally to permit me to add her to the group of the class. Once I had an internet connection I could not find the note with her name and I couldn't remember it since my brain was not used to Slavic sonorities yet. Fortunately, I found her really easily and added her. The same day she asked me to go out with them.
The party in itself was not the best but I remember the way back we laughed so much! People just thought we knew each other's since a long time. At that point we became inseparable.
I must say that I choose to do my mobility in Nitra before we became friends. It was a good opportunity to discover this part of Europe, indeed the location of Slovakia makes travel really easy. So when she finished her Erasmus I actually followed her to Slovakia. It was like my second Erasmus because my first semester in France with Katka and all the other Erasmus students I felt like I belong to the team ! She made the whole year special by sparkling around me all the time. And don't know how I would have done without her as the best guide in Slovakia.
Usually I like to travel alone to discover what I want and so on, but I must say that Katarina is the rare friend with who I like to travel.
So even now while she is studyind in Prague (Czech Republic) while I am in France we have a lot of meetings already planned, I know I can always count on her, and it just feel like we are going to be friends forever even if we are not living in the same country. And this thought just make the future brighter.
Somehow we even developed our own language by mixing some Slovak-french-english-spanish-the country-we-are-currently-in. It sounds silly but I've found my person. It's crazy how hazard can change everything, because I didn't register earlier enough at university I was in the same class than her and it pretty much changed my life.
