Developing my competences
During On-Arrival-Training (in Predeal, September 2011) we took a part in discussion also about competences we would like to develop and improve within EVS. So here is my list (of whishes and dreams), that was already approved by my hosting organisation:
Communication in mother tongue:
- to explain foreign people basic rules of Slovak language in playful way: tounge twisters, common words with other language, etc.
Communication in foreign tongue

- take care in garden: bio waste hole, plants
Digital competence
- recording, editing, shooting, combining (short) videos, movies – editing programmes.
- programmes for creating and implementing subtitles – updating them in movie
- adding components and their installation to computer – projector, scanner, printer,...
- programming websites, converting programmes for different formats of movie, text, music
Learning to learn
- organize my time for learning! (especially reading english, romanian and polish texts)
- read in more effective way
- find new ways how to learn more by heart
Social and civic competence
- to deal with people in less aggressive way, be more tolerant and try to find compromises
Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship
- be more involved in other YiA subprogrammes – take part in youth conferences and exchanges – not only as participant, but also as organizer

Looks like there is a lot of work for me and maybe I am naive to expect improving in all these fields, but let's see what is possible.
