Covid difficulties in volunteer's life
If you try to find your goals and new things to do in this crazy period this article is for you!
To tell the truth I didn’t understand how the time flied and I have not realized that I am already 6 months in France! Maybe you feel the same like me or maybe not! This is not a typical article but I would like to start a conversation with you and If you want write me in the comments your personal experience and your feelings in this period!
To live abroad and specially participating in European projects have different impacts for each participant! In Covid period this experience becomes more complicated! During 6 months, I travel, I meet local and international people, I taste new food and I meet a new lifestyle! I went at the schools and I saw how it is to grow up in a different way! But there is not only the good part! When I came in France, the first month I was in lockdown and now again we lived under strict restrictions. To be honest a lot of times I told to myself If it would be better to choose one other period to live my first experience abroad and until the last time I was wondering If I took the right decision! Now I know that if I was in my country I wouldn’t spend my time as nice as here but of course my project would be better without restrictions! In additional to, now I am happy about the little things in life and I try to adapt all the time under the new life’s conditions!
My mains goals and my expectation aren’t far away from what I finally did but now I have to redefine my activities caused the new measures, I can’t travel and moreover I can’t see my new friends because they live far! So now i will write to you my new goals and it will really helpful if you write me too your goals and what do you do to be more productive!
What I did first when I learned that I can’t travel anymore was to buy healthy foods because now there isn’t more excuse! Usually I try to find the ‘perfect’ conditions to start to eat more healthy! Everyone knows that when you travel is really difficult to follow your diet program and specially when the restaurants are closed.
After, I checked what kind of activities are available near my area! I find already a swimming pool and sculpture lessons. I really can’t remember why I didn’t search that before! I am sure that you will find something interesting for you or just a outdoor place to do sports.
Moreover, I try to adapt my project in the new conditions and do things that match more to me! I speak with my tutor and we decide to do a photography exhibition! I really like to take photos and what is more interesting to explore your new city and take photos? The subject will be Greek monuments in France. I am from Greece and I live currently in France so that’s why I choose this subject!
These were my ideas and I will wait yours too! You can write my something in the comments or you can send me private message! Also I will be happy to meet volunteers how live in France this period and share our experience and why not to meet them!
